Or even better, something that allows you to select what the car will often be used for, and gives you a list of cars that might suit you. You could select options like "I will/won't have child passengers" or "I'm very tall/short", "I average 80km per week/800km per week".

I'm starting looking for cars (as some of you will have seen), but probably won't be buying for a few months unless my dream car suddenly appears for $1.99. At this stage I feel I'd be wasting dealers' time by wandering around showrooms, but I'd like to make a start on checking out car info online in advance of the shopping trips.
