I put this thread in the Laptop section but that place seems very quiet.

Hi folks, my Acer Aspire 5750 is 3 years old and the battery has given up the ghost.

I went in to PC World and they don't sell batteries. The Laptop works fine and I don't want a new one foe now.

Are there any retail outlets, big or small, in Dublin that might sell one to me?

    Thanks in advance.

€40 on http://www.laptopbatteries.ie/ plus €8 delivery (which is generally next day - i've used them three times at this stage).

Got one at Syncron in Rosemount Industrial Estate for 16 quid. Charged up nicely and is powering my laptop up fine so far. :)

That's a little bit too cheap for my liking. With laptop batteries you get what you pay for.

    Just saying.

Its early days obviously but for 16 quid I've not a lot to lose.

Except your house, don't leave it plugged in and unattended would be my advice.
