Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks,

What’s the longest USB cable you’d use between a USB dongle and a 3G router and can you recommend any one in particular ?

I currently have a USB dongle connected to a TP Link 3G router on a 3m USB cable.

Anyone using an Active USB cable like this ?

    Cheers !

I've been using 5M active USB leads for years, daisy-chaining two to reach my UPS, with no issues. Any further than that, I think I would have went USB/Ethernet/USB.
Down to the quality of the leads - an active repeater lead is just a long powered single hub, and they can be repeated for up to five, iirc.

Cheers - which brand do you use ?

    Haven't got a clue - they're anonymous ebay fare. I think they're likely a Belkin knock-off.
If the markings are to be believed, "ISO 9000, TUV", they're of decent quality anyway, and I've had no issues with them.
I originally bought them to put a USB wireless dongle on a mast, but went with an external antenna instead.
    Identical to this type...
