Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any and all tips & advice: the very best that AH can offer for a hen-party in a few weeks would be very much welcomed by me :)

No restrictions so anything goes for AH posters,

    Thanks in advance,

a hen party that doesnt turn into a walking cliche would be original. oh look, sashes with humourous nicknames for everyone. how original. is that a straw with a tiny dick on the end? oh thats just genius!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 34,567 ✭✭✭✭Biggins

A good pair of walking shoes. Stuff the high-heels.
You and your posse will probably be going from place to place tiring your feet out - add to that as the more drink ye get into ye, there might be a bit of ill-balancing!

Y'see... that's the way I think when sober, but by jaysus does it become funny the more drunk you get. And the sight of your pal sucking that straw... too hilarious! :pac:

Why don't you just meet up and have a nice cup of tea and a chat instead of acting like drunken whores on speed?????????????

Depends on the bride, really. What does she like? No point foisting a naked man on her/having a quiet one/whatever if that's not what she's like.

Here joking aside, Galway is great. I recommend it for every kind of party. The people there are sound and there are activities you can do that don't revolve around the demon rum.

I know, I've massive memories of nights & events in Galway.

She is set on Kerry though :pac:

Go to a day spa, get all chilled out. Then a nice meal and a few glasses of vino. Hit the clubs for some dancing and a couple of lines of crap coke which when mixed with the wine, vodka and alcopops means you all end up getting fingered by some sober steroid munching bodybuilders in the dark corners of some disco. Then try live with the guilt etc.

Have someone play "Here come the girls" at various intervals.

Everyone will laugh. Oh how they will laugh.

lovin' the feedback in here, honestly wouldn't have thought of some suggestions coming my way

/prefer not to finish the night giving a statement to my colleagues in the local station though, so some of these suggestions will have to be out :(

    but thanks though :D

i would have suggested a day spa trip and afternoon tea somewhere fancy with cakes. or dinner. maybe cocktails.

I didn't want dressing up at mine. But after much champagne I found myself gleefully donning a leopard costume and dancing with some elderly gentlemen to a showband.

Best activity I did at a hen night was laser combat. It was huge bags of fun and I found out that I'm a pretty awesome sniper.
