Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We all know that some people are called Christian i.e. it is their actual name.
My question is would you call your child Atheist, Free Thinker, Agnostic?
If not, how about a Pet:
"Here Skeptic, there's a good boy."
What about even calling your pet dog
    "Dawkins"?

Would you give someone the name Atheist, Agnostic etc. ? 10 votes

I would only use it for a middle name

I would never call any animate object such a name

Used to know a dog called Copernicus.

    Bit of a mouthful though.

If I had a cat I would call it "Darwin". Cats are assholes, but you can't argue they're pretty well evolved.

On a side-note I'm actually considering requesting a change in my boards.ie moniker.
"The Atheist" suggests I'm just a one-trick pony!

Get a dog, call it Pavlov.

Get a cat, call it Schroedinger.

    LOL.
You'd have to keep the cat in a box. Proper order.

I thought the atheist was an angst ridden teen when I saw his name. :D
    I voted for every option.

How do we know do these fish actually exist and you're not just making it up to promote your own agenda?

That about sums up my reasons!

    No road to Damascus...
Maybe when I'm fifty I'll be The Agnostic, and when I'm knocking on deaths door I'll be "Pascal". ;)
