This from ENN - listed as a cool site:

    "Irish Telecoms
    http://www.irishtelecoms.com

Irish Telecoms appears to be a one-stop shop where users can read
the basics about Ireland's consumer telecommunications industry.
There is information on call cards, mobiles, (including ringtones) and
prepaid accounts, and the most useful section is probably the extensive
price chart on the cost of residential phone services. The telecoms
jobs section could also come in handy for someone who works in the
industry. The burning question is: Why has this site been put together?
It's not loaded with ads and it does not appear to be sponsored by any
single telecom, so clearly the creator is not looking to cash in on
the venture. In any case, the site is a good starting point for users
who are looking to change telecoms providers."

I note their news button on the site links directly to ENN so surely they must know a little bit more than this report reveals.....

Somehow I think that the ENN news (as well as the jobs link) is being used as padding.

The registrar does not have a working whois which makes it slightly more difficult to track but this is the kind of domain tracking that I do every day for NSA ;).
    Domain Name: irishtelecoms.com
    Registrant: scottrobins
    ***********
    maynooth, Kildare, 01
    Ireland

    Created On: 12/15/2000 4:03:00 AM
    Domain Name Expires On: 12/15/2002

It seems to be a personal site and is a good concentration of info.

[The info is available from the registrar's whois though sometimes that particular whois server can be problematic (via SamSpade). However it can be checked on the web interface at www.naame.com]

I have access to a database of Irish owned domains. :)

You can use the whois command to see who owns a domain name if you are using Linux or any other *nix. SamSpade also does this kind of search.

Part of the work I do involves tracking Irish domain ownership and usage hence the database access. The initial theory was to build a search engine of all Irish owned websites in the world. (which is currently spidering all .ie domains again at the moment having only finished all the .info domains a few days ago.)

Might be an idea to **** over his address, not point putting his personal info where anyone can get it.

The Whois info is publically accessible so it effectively has already been published.

    Hi Everyone

In response to "who is irishtelecoms" it is a privately owned website and as you have guessed it is owned by myself. If you have any queries?/questions?/or suggestions on the site please drop me a mail.
