Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Who made you a mod?
You cannot control the replies ones gets in a thread as much as you would like to.

"Post your Desktop" threads (you have started 3 so far in such a short while!!!) will inevitability bring some questions from others - this you don't seem to like so you go off and start another thread - then order us like a mod to use your next latests one!!!

Who the hell do you think you are?

Same threads in so many weeks!
    (1) http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055752543
    (2) http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055757295
    (3) http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055752764

Then you cross post out of sheer laziness!
    http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055753980

Other folk here are trying to be extremely helpful. All you are doing here in this computer section is starting same threads and barking orders 119 posts in.
I for one am getting sick of it. Jeasus, we can't even reply to topics raised now for fear of being ordered/lectured!!!

As been pointed out more than once now, this thread contains information, links, help that might be useful - but you want the whole thing deleted!
If help is offered or a matter raised, its only because folk want to learn or solve a problem. Its going to happen in every thread you start and not just stay absolutely just desktop screens.
People WILL post questions. The rest of us are here to help.
You can't seem to accept that situation, appear to get into a strop and immediately run off and start-up another thread on the same subject (yet again!) to try and attempt just to avoid this.
    Jeasus!!!

I apologise mods for getting angry but this guy is getting ridiculous!

    I answered the questions
    I suppose I'm a neat freak in a way. :o

Where are you getting the idea that I'm mad at people for asking questions? Lol :pac:
As for the cross posting, I just didn't know if it was the right section or not.

You seriously need anger management if cross posting makes you angry.
Hate to see how you'd deal with problems in real life.

    Cross posting, lmao.

All you do is click and type, not like your job is hard.

EDIT: Not even a mod, get a grip!
I apologize to the mods, not this arse licking wannabe.

    attachment.php?attachmentid=97868&stc=1&d=1259796440

what i loved about this was...

i went from having moblin installed to having linux mint 8 installed within 40 minutes, and that included a 20 minute download time as my net is shiote tonight.

I'm not sure if Aidan saw that, but I see it and you're getting an infraction for it.

This thread is starting to piss me off. Next off topic post gets a ban.

Nice panoramic. What do you use to get the power button and logout button down at the bottom of the first screen?

Thanks, will have to investigate better image hosting, but at the same time don't want to go stretching pages.

God, life is full of tiny struggles ;)

Use boards as your image host.

While making a reply, upload your pic, once it's uploaded right click on the URL then Copy Link Location / Copy Shortcut then paste into IMG tags.

i'm a messy fecker when it comes to my desktop, would be sticking up my windows desktop as well but vista decided to give me BSOD on startup, never really use it anyways.

    here's my laptop desktop.

 My god man how can you work like that?! If my Mac was that disorganised I'd want to curl up and cry, but I'm a freak when it comes to these kinda things anyway :)

it's meant to be a sign of a genius tbh :D

i've tried the whole clean route, making everything uncluttered but it totally decreased my workflow which lead to me becoming frustrated.

the cluttered method works well for me so it stays, don't really mind that it's "un-mac-like" as i'm never one for following the rules :pac:

    Hi,

I need help with the desktop.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 running Vista.

Everytime I use an overhead projector (for presentations), I have to re-organise my desktop.

Anyone know how I avoid having to do this?

Using a second monitor at the moment also that flips over (upwards into the air and turns side to side amid other tricks) at times when needed. Very useful for long PDF's, news sites, designing sites and creating document page layouts to say the least.

Here is my current desktop. Using Debian Lenny 64 bit. I still have to sort out some config files:) Using dwm window manager with Xorg/Linux for this screenshot. The tabs at the top allow me to switch between 9 desktops.
Very basic, I don't even have a wallpaper. It's a very functional setup for me. Don't forget -merge with xrdb now folks you uxterm lovers out there ;D
