Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Theres a light coming on the dash of my mums 09 Micra (25th Anniversary Model). There are 3 lights on the speedometer, one is oil level, the other is Battery but the third one tears lighting I have no idea what it is. It looks like a mis-shapen cross is the best way I can describe it.

    Any ideas?

Can you post a pic. Nobody here has or will admit to having a micra.

    Is it any of these?

Sorry to hijack but is that a Micra with CC in the pic, or is it an Almera?

It's the one on the 2nd row beside the open door and under the battery light.

    That's the engine management light.
    Could mean anything tbh.

That's the engine management light I'd imagine. That is most likely a generic warning light when the car's ECU registers a fault. The fault would probably have to be read via a diagnostic computer to give an idea to why it came on. Did the car behave in any way odd when the light came on?

no she says it's not doing anything unusual. Is this going to be expensive?

Nobody here can tell you that. You need to get the diagnostics run to see what fault is causing the light to come on.

The light only tells you something's not right. It could be something big or small. The bulb only does on/off :)

Was it serviced recently?does it ever get a proper spin?

It was serviced in May 2013 to prepare for the NCT. It does get the occasional long run but not regularly. The longest journey in the last 6 months was from Waterford to Enniscorthy and back the following day.
Its done 23K km since we got it 3.5 years ago

You'd want to be servicing it every 12 months at least, regardless of mileage.

The place we brought it to want €50 just to do the diagnostic test so we're going to bring it to the place we bought it tomorrow.

Nissan wanted €60 so we went back to the original place.
They said it was the lambda sensor and whatever they did got the light to go off but he said it will most likely need to be replaced in the near future
