Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My grandparents are looking to change to possibly one of these. It would be the DSG model, ideally TDI but maybe the TSI.
Is there much difference between the two of these apart from the price?
We got a cost to change of €11,000 just today which we were pretty amazed at( in a bad way)

We have two octavia's and they are a good car reliable economical. My grandparents have a 2011 octavia also and they find it very comfortable. Personally I just prefere octavia's over golf. I think golfs are one of the most overrated and overpriced cars on sale in Ireland that's just my opinion and I'm sure there is plenty of people that will say the golf is a great car. Ultimately you will buy a much higher spec octavia for less than a golf. My grandparents have had golfs and they prefere the octavia.

They have a Polo manual at the moment but they are starting to find the manual change difficult so it's time for an automatic. They have owned VAG cars for most of the last 30 years so would like to stay within vw/skoda if the price was right.
