    I'd like to see it happen though, if only for 1 day. It'd be interesting to see how the other forums cope with new vistors or where the vistors go. :)

    All the trolls are already banned from PI. Feedback would get a sudden influx I'd say.

    If AH closed for a week, then the mods of all the other forums would have to don their protective gear and prepare for the onslaught of the trolls. I for one welcome this new proposal and have my Kevlar vest and nightstick ready.

    Yea, and the only sustenance was sarky comments from DeVore (blessed be his name!) raining from the heavens, for forty minutes they wandered, before finding again the blessed land of AH, before being turfed out by a horde of incensed moderators for two thousand hours.

    And DeVore shall send his only son to AH to answer for the smartarsery of the trolls, and he shall be banned for three days and three nights, before returning to bring a new age of enlightenment to the intarwebs. So it is written, so it shall be done.

    tCN would become an even more watered-down version of its former self.
    Comp & Tech would be used for so many Bebo questions and stupid links and (After a day or two) for general nothingness.

    A lot of other fora would get a lot more posters - this would increase the number of infractions, bans, and less snobbery in one or two fora. The whole of Boards.ie will split into arguing mother****ers or people will chill out and learn more about each other and topics.

    Moderators, Reported Posts and Feedback would be swamped.
    I suggested it before as an experiment... it was shot down, oddly enough. Now that we have infractions, and don't have to resort to bans, I'd say it's a little more practical. I can't speak for Terry, but I'd happily help out moderating any other fora that got an influx of muppets.
    I say shake things up. I say let's evolve, and let the chips fall where they may.

    It was suggested a while ago when I was among the AH mods but didn't happen. I am reminded of the Father Ted episode where Jack is dancing around the field with a lolly pop and playing with the puppies, similar thing could happen to Terry. :D

    Please don't close AH, it brings a smile to my face, and the faces of many others. I have tried to be a good girl this year, aand I mostly succeded. Ask Santa, I'm on his "nice" list. Also could I get a new coat, and some lipgloss?

    After Hours is unlikely to close for any period of time. In fact, I expect a clip around the ear from Mr. Man for my previous comments in this thread; but to seal the deal and for you to be sure, I recommend bringing a smile to my face. No; not that way. Bring me shiny things or things made of LEGO. Why don't you give for a change instead of taking? It's all take, take, take with you little punks.

    I have a couple of plans for this place, which I will discuss with my fellow AH mods early in the new year.
    Although one of those plans is just something I have wanted to do since I became an AH mod and is purely for my own amusement.

    Keep your eyes peeled.

    Edit: I will also be going on a ban rampage tomorrow evening.
    Some threads and posts have been given too much leeway of late. I will be taking no prisoners tomorrow.
