Bike mount for smartphone.

    HI all, I have been using my experia m for measuring and mapping my rides and I was wondering are there any specific mounts if any that enthusiasts on here would recommend and also a waterproof / water resistant case that would protect same.
    I understand that a lot of people on here use garmin gps devices etc. however I would prefer to stick with the phone for now.

    I got the quadlock before and it was fine but I just went off the idea of having my phone mounted on the bars.

    Going to ask Santa for a Garmin !

    As above. I use one of these Topeak drybags. I find it very good, the touchscreen is surprisingly responsive through the waterproof cover. Comes with a decent mount.

    I ordered the above topeak bag and mount from cyclestore.Co.uk last Friday and it was delivered by royal mail and on my bike Thursday afternoon. Total cost approx 25 euros and fits perfect with mount supplied.

    One of these perhaps if you can wait the 25 days or so for it and it also provides some extra storage space for those longer spins.

    Slightly off topic, but which smart phones are you guys using? My Samsung has terrible visibility on a bright day outside, so mounting it on the bike would be pointless. Do any of them have decent daylight readable screens for cycling? My old Garmin GPSMap 76CS is great in this respect, but a bit of an antique at this point.

    I use an old iPhone and the View Ranger app. The app has night mode which works great in daytime. Although the transparent front on the drybag is quite reflective when the sun is above me.

    I'd recommend picking up a second hand garmin 200, really happy with mine and it'll do what I want till I start looking at cadence/hr.
