Are Parking Tag advertising it can break parking bye-laws?

I've heard a few adds on the radio for ParkingTag.ie and they mention that you can extend your parking remotely.

Nearly 5 years since its launch, Parking Tag has become the simple, secure, convenient alternative to pay for parking. With over 45,000 registered motorists, Parking Tag's park by phone solution has become the ideal way to pay for parking. There is no need for users to interact with parking meters, no searching for change or rushing back to get another ticket in the rain! The service is ready to use immediately after registration and can be extended without having to return to your vehicle.

How can a company do this when it's in clear contravention of Dublin city and South Dublin parking bye laws? Haven't checked the others but I'd assume all the Dublin councils are the same.

b) a vehicle, excepting Car Club vehicles, which had been parked in a ticket
parking place for the maximum period permitted in that ticket parking
place, as indicated on the appropriate pay and display ticket parking
machine in accordance with Bye-law 11, shall not be parked again in a
ticket parking place on the public road in which that ticket parking place is
situated until at least one hour has elapsed since the vehicle was last
parked in that ticket parking place,

Did you read the first half of the paragraph that you quoted?!! If the original period you paid for is less than the maximum, then you can extend it up to the maximum. No contravention of anything.

“Car Club Vehicle” means a vehicle licensed to operate by a Car Club operator under the Dublin City Council Control of On-Street Car Club Bye-Laws 2013.

I know you can extend if you haven't paid for the maximum allowed time. That's not what Parking Tag are saying they are saying you can extend your parking remotely, there's nothing in their FAQ that mention time limits for parking.

Nothing in the software can prevent you renewing/extending as they can't tell if you've re-parked in another area in the same price zone. The advertising is a bit confusing but the ability to remotely renew up to the limit is a major selling point.

Which all they are claiming, they are not saying that using their service grants you permission to exceed parking limits.
