independant VW Specialist

    Anyone know of an independant VW specialist that will carry out some work on my 2.0 Tdi Altea, needs the belts done, Brake discs, and a normal service, I've been quoted over 1000 euros for the work and wouldnt mind shopping around.

    Also do garages mind if you source parts yourself and get them to fit.

    Try bradys of castleknock they are cheap sometimes

    Brady's! the main audi dealer? I'd say 'sometimes' is right ;) anyone know an independant that would have the Mk5 platform computer, anyone i've spoken to have the earlier vag-com diagnostics unit, which dosent read some of the alerts.

    theres a good independant vw specialist in Renelagh in dublin, dont have a name but hes in around price's place

    Would you be interested in travelling to Meath about 11 miles the far side of Navan there is a very good VW independant just up the street from me very reasonable too and not fussy about you sourcing the parts as he's have to spend time doing that anyway

    the place in renelagh do mostly service work but also do most repairs
    cant remember the mechanics name but if you drive through renelagh towards town you'll see a sign on the left a few hundred yards before the canal
    from what i can remember he only does vw,bmw and mercs

    it could be hopkins & lockhart motors ltd if thats not them then there right beside them
    give them a shout and they'll point ya in the right direction tel : (01)4970533

    They are a bodyshop anybody know who / where the mechanic guy is ?
