Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I am hosting / producing a new jazz show on Dublin South FM 93.9 which airs Tuesdays at 2.00pm.

    The edition on next Tuesday 28th.September will focus on Smooth Jazz from New Jersey based Shanachie Records.

    Jazz Spec will focus mainly on the sweeter end of the jazz spectrum but will also be driven by your suggestions ans comments.

    Given the recent 9th.anniversary of George Harrison's death plus the imminent 30th.anniversary of John Lennon's passing I will include jazz versions of both Beatle and George Harrison material.

    Paul Motian ( legendary jazz drummer ) died in the last week at age 80 so a mini tribute to him on show to be broadcast Tuesday 29th.November 2011. Paul was part of The Bill Evans Trio and also worked with bassist Charlie Hayden so examples from both.
    Irish jazzer Ray Preston ( harmonica ) also appears as will Oscar Peterson & Dave Holland Sextet.
