Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey I am wondering do people overclock ram? Is there much point to it?

Also gfx cards, mine is supposedly overclocked 822mhz -> 880mhz (dunno what ramdac speed is or if that is increased) http://www3.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=43007&agid=707

Should I or can I overclock this further?

    System:

I have 1600mhz gskill ram, an i5 2500k @ 4.5/4.6ghz (depending on how my ocing goes today, currently in tehhe middle of it) and gtx 560ti twin frozr II OC

also, this is my ram: http://www1.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=44321&agid=1193

I've heard OCing some ram leads to performance drops?

On older chipsets it made some difference with sandybridge it make zip-zero. The difference between PC3-1333 and PC3-2200 is about 1fps at the bleeding edge. Overclocking RAM could limit it's lifespan for no real performance gain. Unless your doing it to set some sort of high score it's not worth the effort or the risk.

Just do the CPU and leave it at that. GFX maybe, but I've never done it. RAM OC'ing is just stupid....

ah i see, seems to mkae feck all, although that 1fps sounds great :D

i am quite enjoying trying ocing tbh, it's fun to mess about. The scores I see some people get with crazy systems.

might just have a look at the gfx
