Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

At work today and had an absolute classic moment. I'm working in a store in Childers Rd., Limerick.

Local scumbag wanders in to the shop (well known and is most definatly a scumbag of the highest degree, not just a sterotype.) and tries to pass a dud €50. Girl at the counter refuses to accept it.

So our dear friend starts raring up and screaming, she gets a tap on the shoulder from the man in the q behind her. She turns around and starts raring up on him. At which point he unzips his jacket to show off his lovely Garda uniform.

I swear the look on her face was the funniest thing ive ever seen. They hauled her away in the back of the squad car.

Haven't stopped smiling all day :D!

I used to work on the tills in a cosmetics place, you can easily tell a fake note (after a bit of practise :o) There's a couple of different ways of checking. One is obviously to hold it up to the light and check but you can also run your nail accross those lines going down the centre of the note. They're slightly raised. Fake ones are generally very smooth and slightly discoloured. :)

For moments like that it would be worth it to be a garda.

    Second thoughts, maybe not.

Not quite a happy ending though cos said scumbag will probably end up with nothing more than a ticking off.

Better than nothing though, I'll take it.

I read as far as unzips and thought you were going to write: unzips his trousers and shows off his lovely micky.
