Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I wonder can anyone help,I am split up with an ex partner and we have a child.I was on the one parent tax allowance up to the start of this year.It was stopped when the tax office brought in the single carer allowance so only the primary carer is entitled to this. The mother is the primary carer but is on an invalidity pension so does not pay tax.am I entitled to claim providing I meet the criteria to claim.

As far as I understand the person with whom the child resides is entitled to it, but can relinquish it to another person. Would she voluntarily give it to you? If she's not using it and the extra money can pay for our child it makes sense for someone to use it

No she must relinquish it. If she's stubborn there is an option. You could tell her you are seeking a variation in maintenance based on the 30euro odd a week you will be down. Worth a crack.
