Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know why this is so?

I was thinking of taking a trip to Belfast on the bus.

I have to buy the ticket on board or at the Airport/Busaras.

Wouldn't you think in this day and age they could overcome this issue, there has to be a way surely. Maybe it's the shared service with Translink or something, but come on!

I'd hate to arrive at Busaras, or the Belfast stop to find that all seats are gone!

I've emailed BE about it. Await reply!

http://www.aircoach.ie/ also run to Belfast and you can book your seat online probably for cheaper. It runs from O'Connell St.

Simple reason - cross-border services are operated jointly with Ulsterbus.

Ulsterbus drivers cannot access the Bus Eireann ticketing system to validate the online ticket.

Thanks for reminding me of this! I will of course use this service and not BE now.

But if I want to go to Newry for example, I need to use BE.

Yes, thanks for that, I touched on the Translink "link" in OP.

But I just wonder why they cannot link themselves up for the Cross Border services. I'm sure it can be done if they really wanted to. Buy online and split the proceeds 50:50 or something. Jeez you can use a smart phone as a boarding card on airlines these days, anything is possible!

But thanks for your explanation. I suspected as much.

Why operate joint services if they cannot offer 21st century customer service?

They would be better operating independently!

Or you could get a €9.99 on the train.
