Looking for a bargain importing a UK Car .

This is a really useful if you purchase a second hand car at any time ftom the UK with an MOT (Or check the MOT History of your car back to its first MOT) (Subject to it being a Computerised Entry MOT)

Not only does it show the Date of Each MOT and the Mileage of the car (Useful for checking clocking).

But it also shows the full history of each MOT, including any reasons for a failure and advisories given.

As some times you buy a car with a pass certificate but it could have had hidden problems marked as advisory that will come back to bite you in the future.

    You Need

1: Registration Number of your car
2: Serial Number from Last MOT Certificate or Serical Number from V5 Doc

    http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/internet/jsp/ECHID-Internet-History-Request.jsp

    And off you go.

Well worth a check to see if there are any things you may need to keep an eye on in the future.

Hope its useful to someone looking for a Bargain.

Great find. Just checked out my "new" van and was able to go back to 2005.

Many local car repair garages throughout Great Britain are authorised to perform testing,to issue certificates and to repair vehciles that fail the initial MOT. Thus they are not necessarliy independent. It has been known for MOT's to be issued to the vehicle owners requirements for an extra sum.
In Northern Ireland tests are performed specifically at DVA Test Centre as they are performed specifically at NCT in the Republic.
Better to go to a reputable dealer who can show you a service history.
