Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Externally splitting UPC signal.

    I have the basic broadband package from UPC where the signal comes from the box outside the front of the house and goes over the roof and down into a UPC point in a back room. From this UPC point I have my modem connected on one side and my TV connected on the other. My question is, if I get an external coaxial splitter, can I split the UPC signal at the box outside the front of the house and then bring a cable down the front of the house to a front room? I want to get just TV from the second cable.

    It is illegal to split the signal at the tap(the box outside) but I would split it at the back of my tv then run a cable over the roof to the front of the house,That way you will not be splitting the signal your broadband is coming in on.Do not cut the main cable your signal is coming in on

    Have you tried contacting UPC to see if they'll do it for you? I had something similar done recently, free of charge!

    It sounds like the OP only wants to draw the analog TV signal from the new point, will they still do it for free given that there's zero extra revenue for them?

    If the OP is getting a new digital box then I'd imagine they will certainly do the splitting for free.

    I moved my router to another room and connected it to wiring not done by UPC. They discovered through another issue that the signal going into the router was weak so they sent out someone to do proper wiring into that room, at no cost to myself.
