Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all you mechanics out there, a question for you. I understand my E200 has two batteries, one in the booth which I figure is the main starter battery, but where is the other one and what is it for. I'm getting a warning light on the dash that says , Battery protection convenience temporary unavailable, and also the symbol of a battery, I presume one or both batteries is on the way out. Any info would be appreciated folks.

Is your E Class the W211 shape? If so then the auxiliary battery is under the cabin filter housing at the base of the windscreen on the passenger side. Mercedes charge stupid money for a new one but you will find that the auxiliary battery is made by Varta and is the same as a motorbike battery. You can buy one in any good motor factors.
