Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hello so my question is this.
I drive a ford focus c-max disel 2005. This morining was driveing to work when the central locking started to lock and unlock while driving now i was using my spare key which does not have the fob on it. Anyhow i got out the car a short bit later to noctice that the back drivers door won't open at all and the fuel cap won't open either. This happened last year as well but the locking central module was replace with a new one by a ford mechainic. The guy who did it says its un-likeley the module is bolwn again what is your guys views or ideals. Thanks

Sounds like either the module broken again, or a loose wire/earthing issue. An auto electrician should be able to help by reading any error codes and do a diagnostic test.

The fact that this module is broken again being only maybe two or three weeks over the year and being such a vital part of the car should ford replace this free of charge.

It might not be the module but you should take it back to the mech that fixed it the last time and let them have a look.
At least that is what I'd do.

Have a look under the glove box at the gem module and see is either of the plugs come loose most likely the brown one on the right as you look in.

so you had to unlock the car manually yes? I think your problem could be drivers door actuator..you could try getting wd40 and with the straw stick it into the lock barrel and spray in a generous amount. Give it a couple of minutes and using the key fob lock and unlock. I think this may solve your problem. Everything is connected. Nothing ventured nothing gained..best a luck:)
