Mazda MX5 Mk3 power increase?.

    A friend has a Mazda MX5 Mk3 1.8 Litre that he's finding a bit under powered. I read that adjusting the ignition timing can make it a bit more torquey, are there any MX5 gurus in the Dublin area to give the car a once over? I know a supercharger or turbo can work wonders but that's a bit pricey, and remaps don't seem to do much. Thanks for any suggestion.

    A remap is adjusting the timing and fuelling properly.
    Just advancing the base timing is asking for trouble.

    Try the local MX5 club and see what mods work.
