Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm going to have to big up the North East, and say the Cooley Peninsula is lovely, Carlingford, Omeath, Warrenpoint... tis a lovely place to go on a sunny day.

    Oh, and Ardee > Everywhere.

The Vico in Killiney, or An Clossach in Ventry/Dunquin. Just the moment where you reach the top of the hill and the Blaskets appear below you. Right there.

Ah, but traditionally shops put the pick of the merchandise in the window, and display it aesthetically ... :p
    Smartarse Culshie. :D

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Dunmore East. It's spectacularly beautiful and there's a magical feel to it no matter what time of year it is.

I first fell in love with the place when I was around 8 and we spent a family holiday there (yeah, 12 miles down the road, that was the '80s for ya!). I'm still besotted :D

As an all-round good place to live, Galway has to score high in all categories... but God, don't they know it, and expect you to know it too! Here's an example:

    Waterfordian: "I'm from Waterford"
    Galwegian: "Never been there"
    Waterfordian: "Oh right, well it-"
    Galwegian: "I'm from GALWAY!!!"
Waterfordian: (I'll show this fella...) "Oh, right, nice..."
Galwegian, turning purple: (Nice? NICE??? Galway is the BEST place in the WHOLE world, better than San Francisco or Rio de Janeiro... and you're meant to say it!!! That's the script!!! How dare you not give me my worship, you south-east pov, no-Gaelic culture, union-ridden piece of SH1T!!!) "Yeah... but the traffic is AW-ful..."

    Best place

    DUBLIN

    Of course!

Or more specifically North Dublin. The southside has such lovely suburbs as Tallaght, Clondalkin and Ballyfermot...........Not for me.
