Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I'm looking at Travel Insurance with M&S and they have quoted me £180.00GBP for a 26 day trip with declared medical conditions. It does not include mountain biking.

Their underwriters are Axa, whose website quoted me £70.00GBP including the declared medical conditions and mountain biking.

Why is this difference here? Surely, M&S should not be taking off such a large % (or Axa doing it to M&S).

Consumer magazine Which? recommends M&S and places it 4th on lits recommended list with Axa at 17th.

How can this be if essentially i've checked both policy wording and it is the same policy?

How is there merit in opting for M&S for the same policy at x2 price - even those Which? recommends M&S?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

AXA may be providing the underlying policy for M&S but it doesn't mean the policies are the same. Benefits and cover amounts may differ when a claim has to be made, as may the ease of claiming/customer service when the time comes. Excesses could be different also.

You could probably assume thst based on thwir reputation for customer service M&S may provide a more "premium" experience when things do go wrong.

There could be a number of reasons affecting the prices in question.
