Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been watching their count coverage for the last hour and a half since they came back on air and they're jumping from the counts in one DUBLIN constituency to another in all that time. Oh hang on they just went to Roscommon. Oh wait. It's over already. That was 20 Seconds literally. The dublin constituency's are the only one's they're even in conversation about.

    They're some joke!

Look, I'm from Tipperary, but the Dublin story is far more interesting. When Fianna Fail are likely to retain only one seat in the capital, that's big news.

Elsewhere the situation is less dramatic, but it is being covered.

Well our constituency always takes forever dude, we'll get exclusive coverage shortly when everyone else is finished and we'll still be on a third count

Dublin is the capital and therefore the most important county in Ireland in any situation. Hope this helps.

actually no. It doesn't. Most constituency's has a similar population. Every single TD represents the same number of people.

Only Dublin West and Dublin Mid-West have had their first count, what do you expect them to concentrate on?

That would be a valid argument IF those were the only 2 Dublin constituency's they were concentrating on!

I always find this annoying it's not just on elections that this is done Dublin is always unfairly favoured with everything if there was a murder in Cork but somebody farted in Dublin the smell in O Connell st. Would get first billing on the news

Maybe if the lazy culchie returning officers took a leaf out of Dublin West's book and counted a bit quicker, then RTE Pravda could be covering those counts too, as they inevitably will when the backwoodsmen finally finish their first counts.

He who holds Dublin, holds Ireland.
