    Hi Folks,

Need some advice and thought this would be a good place to try. We're doing a draw in my office for the Rugby World Cup. All teams drawn out of a hat at random, the thing is we're giving money for last place aswell as first and second so that people who draw terrible teams still have last place to hope for. The problem now is how to decide what is last place. Obviously the team with the least points but what if we have a draw between more than one team with the least points, any suggestions what the tie breaker could be? (e.g. team that suffered the worst defeat or something like that). Any suggestions? We just want to decide on a definate rule before we draw the teams.

    Thanks!

I've seen it done like this before and it worked out fine.

    01. Team who gains least number of points in table e.g. 0
    02. If a tie, then team that concedes most points in all group games.
    03. If still a tie, then team that scores least of tying teams.
Always cover all your angles - just in case !!
