Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Alot of people feel he damaged his chances of getting another gig by his performance on his final red fm show.

His last show was fine? A little emotional sure, but I certainly didn't feel any bridges were burnt from listening to it?

This is the audio from it, where exactly do you think his bridges would be burnt?

Seems like a classy sign off to me.

I've no doubt he will get another gig but his thing on his last show probably didn't help him at all.

It started out as someone who clearly liked what he was doing and was unhappy with having to leave and him saying goodbye to the listeners. I get that part but it just got cringe worthy as it went on.

absolutely nothing wrong with that, just a man saying goodby, a man who was upset about leaving, a man thanking his listeners for the support, a man thanking others for the help and support they gave, a man who appreciated the opportunity he got, nothing there that i could hear that would cause him to burn bridges with anyone, i'm happy he got the opportunity to say goodby to the listeners, seems to be the done thing here for some and rightly so, wouldn't happen on the commercial stations in the UK who treat the listeners as if their thick though

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

It was suppose to be a 2 hour talk show on a radio station not 20 mins of sobbing I guse he got paid well for it too.

I listened that night too and found it fine. Didn't really think it was over the top. The show and listeners obviously meant an awful lot to him. Alot more than we'd ever know on a message board. My other half was a big fan of him and she was gutted, although she heard him on Cork Community Radio a few Sundays ago doing an interview on air, which lasted for 2 hours or something, so that kept her happy.

I'd say he'd be hired somewhere alright. How long was he in Red? Experience counts for alot I'd say.
