Adding tachometer/rev counter to car

    Anyone ever done anything like this? Just picked up a car that doesn't have a tachometer which I know will irritate me. Had a look at a few videos online and the look of the wiring etc makes me nervous about doing it myself :P

    If I sourced one online is it something your typical mechanic could install without too much fuss? Or could I do it myself without completely destroying the electricals in the car :P

    Any tips for a complete green noob would be much appreciated!
