Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was in the market for a Massey 135 or a ford 3000. People have warned me off the fords and the 135s are up for stupid money imo. I spotted a 996 in good nick for a decent price. I am just wondering if it is too big for my needs (mowing and general duties on about 3 acres.. Should I go for it or hold out for something smaller?

Watch out for cracked block in these - can be repaired, but better not to have it!Otherwise ok, rough old things but go ok, and economical

Very economical, good lift and reliable. good tractor all around for the era, Massey is the most over priced brand in the irish market. A ford 3000 or 4000 bad tractor you hear.... why?

I was told that the 3000 in particular is gutless.. But you hear all sorts of nonsense about things from self proclaimed experts. I ended up getting the davy brown. Great yolk so far.
