Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Important video lost from Samsung phone

We had a hugely important video on wife's Samsung smartphone - not sure what model, but not a recent Galaxy.

The video was sent by Viber - but now looks like it was deleted in error from the phone's gallery and is no longer available to any of the recipients of the Viber message.

Its a really important video - child's first steps.. - hoping against hope there may be some way of restoring the phone to a particular date; or recovering from Viber...

Can anyone offer any suggestions how we might get that video back?

Was it deleted from the phone or from the SD card? Either way, I think this link might help you:

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514286

    A quote from XDA:
When a "delete" is performed, only the space that the file occupies is marked as blank and can be reused by new files, but the deleted file will be still there until new data overwrites it. Hence, if you haven't shot any new photos or video clips, you still can recover deleted photos with the help of Samsung Galaxy recovery software.

hope this guide can help you : czqsoft.com/useguides/How-to-Recover-Deleted-Files-on-Samsung-GalaxySGS

In the event that these do not help you, this may:

But be warned, I've never used the software in the last link, so be careful.

Hope you're able to get your video back.
