I am not sure this should be in here or programming but i have placed in here cause i have seen other post about realex in here but move if need be.

We use Realex in our company but when I try to connect to the site to getthe payment page I get the following error.

Your card HAS NOT BEEN CHARGED as there has been an error with the transaction.
Please contact the merchant whose goods or services you are purchasing and give the error message below.

    Error 505
You cannot use this service from there

Does anyone who what causes this problem and how I can resolve it?

Could it be a firewall issue on my side. I don't think it is a programming issue as it would display a different error.

I have the developers manual but it doesn't give any help bar the error message.

Is the IP you are using on a banned list?

the 505 error could be cause few reason, one of which jmcc listed above.
it's either your ip is banned or not in the list of user if you changed servers or website ip.

    other errors could be:

    505

md5hash incorrect - check your code and the Developers Documentation

    505

sha1hash incorrect - check your code and the Developers Documentation

    505

You are not allowed to access this service from there!

    505

The refund password you entered was incorrect.

there is a link i found on the web before:

you need to send realex a list of trusted urls where the transactions come from.

    i.e.

    www.website.ie/shopping.aspx
    www.website.ie/cart.aspx

ip addresses arent allowed i think.

I think we had to give them the IPs we were using....

Best thing is to contact Realex directly
