Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No not true at all, when passing through the airport you have to go to one line to pay and get your visa and then another to get it stamped to get into the country. The lines are very long esp to get pay for the visa, you'll have airport guys at the back of the line offering to jump the que for you and get your visa for you, we use them all the time can save you 1 to 2 hours waiting esp when your jet lagged, give them $5 for two passport and away you go. You can also pay for express passport which is expensive, once outside the airport your grand.

When getting yr bags you'll have the usual porters trying to help tell firmly no and ya'll be grand, kuta is a right siht hole just one long big traffic jam this grand for a night or so, full of Aussies on the piss, maybe have a look at heading to the gill islands for a few nights as well. Be very careful exchanging your money DON'T exchange on the shops on the street you will be done out of money.

Bali is grand, Advice on the Airport above I would agree with

Try and have a bit of currency before you get there as the queue for the ATM can be almost as long as the queue for the Visa.

    Ignore those Bag Carrying guys.

Also try and arrange a transfer in advance to avoid the heckling taxi drivers outside.

My experience was people were very honest there.

Don't drink spirits (Arak) from small bars and so on, stick to beer (Bintang is fine)
Some places have been known to mix in some ethanol to save money on the taxes.

Bring 2 bottles of spirits with you Duty free from the connecting airport, we went via Singapore.

Also I would agree that Kuta is a smelly dump fully of hammered aussies.
