Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Me and a friend have some time off at the end of the month and we want to get away somewhere. We want somewhere sunny and outside Europe. We only have about 12 days off so really only 7/8 nights away.

I was thinking about Cuba, I know we don't have time to travel around etc but can anyone suggest what our best itinerary would be? Like just stay in Havana and do day trips away from there or what?

I know I'm been vague but this is really a last minute idea and would appreciate any help.

    Cheers.

    Oh btw, we're 2 single fella's;)

Heading there myself soon enough. Booked an 8 day cycle trip which will cover a good area. Would you consider that?

I wouldn't fancy traveling all that distance to stay in Havana.

I spent 2 weeks+ in Cuba. I travelled the whole country though (except west of Havana)

You need your Visa also in advance which I think is €25 each (just so you know).

I enjoyed Varadero - can travel there from Havana and we stayed in a fantastic casa. Beach, sunshine & relaxation (&sunburn!) but it was very relaxing. I wouldn't go there especially from IReland though. I enjoyed it because we had doneso much travelling before that but it's a long way to go just for a bit of sunshine!

If you want something a little alternative, what about Belize? English speaking also :-) Fantastic place.
