Sorry I don't know if this is the right forum to put this in.

But is the Guitar for Dummies: All in One book good for me to get? I am only a beginner at playing Guitar and I am looking for a cheap way to learn. The YouTube tutorials are not helping me that much. Just please answer if the book is good or bad.

I have a justinguitar book which is good to have as an accompaniment to the online videos that he produces.

I'm only partway through it at the moment, but so far it seems good enough. It has a cd so you can hear what you're supposed to sound like. But that's from someone who is still only learning, so I can't talk about the more intricate parts.

Only thing I will say is that some of the songs can be a bit old and obscure. I looked through the whole thing and I only knew about five of them. So yeah, use this (or something like justinguitar.com, which is also very good, and free) to learn the theory, then pick a song you like, and look for the tab. You'll learn better that way than trying to perfect 60 year old songs you've never heard of.
