Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone got positive feedback about the gardai cos most of the stuff I hear and read about is very negative?

I have met some very nice gardai.I don't have any interesting stories but I do have a lot of respect for most of them.

Yes, I have had all positive experiences with them so far. It's generally the Mirror/Sun/Herald reading section of society that hates them.

I don't think that's true. But like doctors, lawyers and priest they need to be held to a higher standard than other people. And because of this the guys who abuse their powers cause a lot of problems for them. They might not have more misbehavers than any other job but they're in the unfortunate situation that they shouldn't tolerate those causing the problems from within (when they do, much like the Catholic Church.)
