    Hi all :)

    i would just like a few suggestions on christmas or winter crafts suitable for 3-5 year olds

    Snowflakes made using folder paper and safety scissors - something like these:

    A crib using a shoe-box, cotton wool, matchbox for a crib etc.

    Make an advent calendar.

    Children like collecting pine-cones in the open air. And the cones can then be painted white or gold or sprinkled with glitter etc. Add a loop of string for Halloween or Christmas decoration!

    Let children collect all the different shapes and colours of fallen leaves from the ground and stick them on a big sheet of paper. Try to identify a few of them by name.

    Find short pieces of log in the woods and add pretend "snow" by gluing on cottonwool and a sprig of holly. Nice for the table.

    Get "outline" Christmas cards and let children colour them in for sending to relations.

    And simple baking and helping to cook are winners with kids at any age and very suitable for wintertime.
