Can I get an expired Dublin Bus Rambler card converted to a Leap card?

In January 2014, I bought a 30 day Dublin Bus Rambler card. It was good for unlimited travel on 30 non consecutive days. It was valid until December 2014. I lost it after just one use, with well over 100 euros of the balance still on it. These Ramblers were phased out in mid 2014 & your card could be taken to a Dublin Bus agent and converted to a Leap Card. I never did that, as the original card was lost.

I just found the card again. What are the odds of getting the balance on it converted to a Leap card, even though it expired in December 2014? (The expiration date is printed on the back.) Would the Dublin Bus office be the best place to take it into, or can newsagents who sell Leap cards, do it?

    Ta.
