Hi does anyone know if I could get emergency housing in Bray while currently living in arklow? I'm on the housing list in bray for two years but have been told the list is backed up 8-10yrs! My situation is that I'm job seeking and have 2 daughters. My husband works but is very unstable and drinks heavily. He has current been out drinking since last Sun (8th Sept) he has drank this months rent and that's partly why I feel I need emergency housing. Also obviously to get myself and my children away from him while he's in this state. Anyone know if firstly I'd qualify for emergency housing? And secondly could I get a house in bray as opposed to arklow where we're currently renting? Thanks.

I think the only emergency housing is the hostel in Rathdrum.

Maybe the Bray womens refuge could help you out

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
