Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chimney for a stove - question

I'm hoping to put in a stove with a back boiler but I'm uncertain if it will work. I have a room where there is access to two chimneys. One is flue-lined and the other is not. The walls and chimneys are built out of stone and I have included a photo to help explain. Basically, in order to have the stove in the centre of the room I would have to use the non-flue lined chimney. The other chimney is only a short distance away but it would actually cause havoc in terms of the layout of the room as the room is small (I would be unable to have a couch each side of the stove as I need). Is there anyway I could use the flue-lined chimney while keeping the stove in the centre of the room? How far can a stove be located from the main chimney? Thanks for any help, I'd really appreciate any ideas.

Ideally I'd want to have the centre of the stove as close to the black line as possible.

Why not just line the chimney you want to use

I was hoping to try and use the other chimney as it would be cheaper. But as you save it'll probably be a case of lining the chimney nearest.
