Hi not sure if this is the right forum for this, but how do you turn your laptop off when it freezes? Control alt delete never works and when you press the on/off button nothing happens either. I usually just have to resort to plugging out the power and waiting for the battery to die before plugging it in again and turning the computer on. But surely there must be a quicker and easier way than this to turn it off? Any help is much appreciated.

If the laptop has completely frozen to the point where nothing happens, you can force a power off by pressing and holding the power button for ~5 seconds.

Keep your finger on the 'on' button, see if that works.

I just take out the battery. Never seems to do any harm.
