Most odd indeed. Never heard of the likes.

It's the start of the war of the worlds. Or the second coming.

Professor Iain Stewart will be right along to explain all.

Jaysus, there's a shocking lack of knowledge of geography in this thread.

The tectonic plates are slowly moving all the time.
Pressure builds up until something gives and they "jump", giving an earthquake.

But there's no plate boundary anywhere near Michigan.

Sandy: I want you to kill every gophers on the golf course!
Carl: Correct me if I'm wrong Sandy, but if I kill all the golfers, they're gonna lock me up and throw away the key...
Sandy: Not golfers, you great fool! Gophers! The *little* *brown*, *furry* *rodents* -!
Carl: We can do that; we don't even have to have a reason. All right, let's do the same thing, but with gophers -!

    There was no earthquake recorded.

It's most likely a small underground spring/waterway causing erosion by taking the soil to the nearby lake.

Mole people had a house party. Put on will smiths classic
"boom shake shake shake the room" and got a little boisterous with the bouncing.

This is fückin' news? A bit of earth shifted probably due to some sink-hole or some such sh!t in some arsehole's garden and it's on the fückin' NEWS?

Quick, check to see what law they're forcing through Congress to abolish Social Security while everyone's glued to this gibberish.

One mans news is another mans rubbish. I'd say if it was in your garden you would be interested.
Or if you were in guatemala

The ground raised five feet up, taking trees along for the ride.
There's no sign of that in the video, why did they have to go making up bits?

Salewsky doesn't know what caused his backyard to split in two and neither do police.

Why would you call the police about something like this

Did they ever come up with a good explanation for the sink hole in Guatamala?

    Hardly news worthy.

    This however, was certainly newsworthy.

    +1
The ground raised five feet up, taking trees along for the ride.

THAT would have been worth seeing, but what's on the video seems completely different and closer to simple erosion from an underground spring.

Then again, it is Fox........the home of "A large fiery ball has been seen falling from the sky and landing in the sea west of LA" (i.e. sunset)

The sun doesn't rise from the west...

The sun doesn't rise from the west...

Doh! I actually reversed that story from New York, believe it or not, because I reckoned a fiery ball landing in the sea would have been more "Armageddon" style.....

    Guess today isn't a day I should proof-read edits. :D
