Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi there - not familiar with Paris at all, but ideally I'd like to stay around Montemartre (sp??) if possible. We're supposed to be going on the Eurostar in 2 weeks from today, but due to some events back home we're a bit stuck for cash so trying to do it on the cheap, if we can go at all.
Does anyone know any cheap hotels in a decent location? As long as we have access to transport to get us to the main tourist sites. We arrive in Gare Du Nord so somewhere around there would probably be more suitable.
    Merci!

    Hi BrazilianNZ,

I'm just back from Paris (yesterday) and stayed in a real gem of a hotel there. The location is brilliant, not particularly near gare du nord but accessible by metro (we travelled from gare du nord too). It's in the nice shopping area within walking distance of the Louvre, place de la concorde etc. It was 90euro for a double room for a night and breakfast was included. The hotel is lovely with a great buffet breakfast. I couldn't fault it at all and will definitely go back there next time i'm in paris!
If 90euro seems a little steep, by Paris standards it's actually fairly cheap!
