Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm from over the border, but I'm applying to CAO as well, just to keep my options open. I wouldn't know much about the reputations of all the universities down south - I know the big names like Trinity and UCD - but I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice on which university would offer I suppose the best law degree, in terms of teaching and reputation etc.

I am currently studying Law in UCC and I think the college is excellent, Very good and interesting lectures, notes are all online and library is second onlt ot TCD. If you are going to Dublin I would recommend Trinity but UCC is very good also.

Bumping this. What are the best universities to study law in Ireland? Does studying at certain universities give you a better chance of securing a training contract? Or are grades more important than the university you studied at to secure a training contract?

This isn't from my experience, I read it on another thread on here (maybe you could search for it) that Trinity and UCD are your best in terms of employability with the more prestige companies / solicitors in Dublin.

UCC was argued to be not too far behind. Then NUIG, UL & MAYNOOTH followed. Securing a training contract is difficult nowadays so good grades is also important.
