toshiba hdd/dell.

Hi just wondering can anyone tell me if a toshiba hdd from a L300/L300D will fit into a dell inspiron 1521? thanks in advanced for any help:).

Both use SATA so should be ok, just need to check the height of the drives: 9, 9.5 or 12 mm

I ment to ask when i change hdd do i need to do anything after that ?
do i have to reinstall software or anything.

Umm Yeah, EVERYTHING, The OS then your programs, Updates the lot really, are you equipped for this?

Loads of folks on here will help you as you are too far away for me to offer.

Well tbh i havent a clue i may as well be looking up a donkeys arse
then looking into my lap top. Although i did manage to put more ram
into it thanks to the help of people like yourself on boards:)
