    Just doing a yearbook and we want to put in a few pages on what happened in the world especially Ireland between 2008-2012? Can anyone think of massive changes that occurred from this time?

    I have been using things such as Michael D Higgins elected 2012

    2008 to 2012? It's been pretty quiet all over the place for the last few years. Not a lot going on really. A bit of an auld financial crisis, and a couple of huge international banks going to wall / getting bailed out, but nothing really notable.

    Oh, the yanks elected a black guy to the presidency. Now THAT'S something.

    And 2012 wasn't our first Olympic gold (assuming that's what you meant by "forst").

    Looks like you've lots of research to do.
