Anyone know of a Pet shop in Galway city that sells pet rats? Asked in the little pet shop in Quay street and they didnt know anyone that sold them.

    Any suggestions would be great.

Try Petmania in Wellpark Retail Park (091)761638 or Pet World in Terryland http://petworlddirect.ie/section/PetworldGalwayTerryland, more than likely they'll have them.

I haven't seen them in petmania either. You could always ask, petworld and aquapaws(in town near the blue note) have both offered in the past to order something in for me when they didn't have what I was looking for.

Your best bet is to try online. I use reptile-community.com, they have an other animals section, over the years bought a few pet rats from there

    To feed a snake ?

The OP is looking for one as a pet, not to feed snakes. Rats can make great pets just like hamsters, mice, guinea pigs ect.

Do you know how much they were Deano?? very tempted to buy a pair.

Im pritty shure it was 20 euro for the pair.
I was talking to the one who works there, she said she got the rats of europets and she only took them coz there where in rely bad shape. They where covered with mites and what not.
She took them only to nurse back to health and she did just that.
They looked rely nice and health the last time i was in.
