Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

birdsmouth cut?

    is there an alternative way of joining COMMON rafters to the wall plate on a concrete garage rather that the conventional way of cutting birdsmouth?
    i have seen some 'simspon hangers' but not sure has anyone used the
    20 x 15 ft garage(15ft is wer the span for rafters is)

    On my garage, I bolted big 90 degree brackets into top of wall and bolted rafters to this. No need for a wallplate either. Easy and quick.

    Its a low pitch. Photo is deceptive as rafter has a seat cut. Principal is the same though.
