ainol novo 10 hero 2 video playback

I just got the ainol novo 10 hero 2 recently and videos on some pages wont play

On RTE for example they wont play because I dont have Flash - Flash player is incompatible with the device but is there any way around watching videos on the rte news page

On the BBC site I just get an error saying that they cannot play the video right now when trying to play any videos embedded in articles

Anyone else have the same issue?

Also as has been mentioned in another post does anyone know a way to get Google Chrome to work on the ainol novo 10 hero 2?

Apart from the video playback on some websites and Google Chrome the tablet seems pretty decent so far

If you ainol has a rooted ROM, [I presume it has].....

There are two files given there, one for Samsung Galaxy S2 fingerprint and the other for Nexus 7.

Instructions to change fingerprint on Ainol Hero for compatibility with Google PLAY

Download file:
fingerprint: Sumsung Galaxy S2, GT-I9100

Your Hero must be Rooted. If you have the latest stock ROM, it is rooted. If not, upgrade to the latest ROM.

Download and unrar the file. You will end up with a SYSTEM folder. COPY this folder with it's content to the SD Card or External SD Card.

This folder will be copied over the original SYSTEM folder at the root of the Android.

Launch ES Explorer and go to Settings - Root Settings and check all four options. Return to ES Page. Mark and COPY folder SYSTEM from the SD Card.

Go Back until you reach the ROOT and see the original SYSTEM folder. PASTE and accept the warning to replace original folder and files. Close ES Explorer.
Go to the Settings Panel of the Tablet. Open Applications and find Google PLAY. Clear cache.

Turn Off Tablet. Turn On.

Fixed!

P.S. There's a new firmware 1207V2 release for Hero.
If you upgrade to this firmware, repeat the above process.

I am not guaranteeing this works, but my Chinese Ployer Momo Bird, which I have CM.9 [Christian Troy Dev] on, has no problems with Google Play whatsoever.

It has a GT-i9100 [Sammy SII] fingerprint [in build.prop, I think].

BTW, Chrome does not support Flash!!

thanks for that. It is a great tablet alright, but it's pretty frustrating having to hunt around for support info on it. ainol don't seem to have an english website so it's really difficult to get officially supported firmware that isn't full of bloatware.

Anyway, that forum you looked to looks like the job, thanks!
