Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's up with full-width website designs?

    Hi,

I've noticed a trend in the last few years of websites implementing full-width sites with multiple sections, and often large images between sections, sometimes with some parallax effects. They seem designed to be scrolled through. Here's one:

    http://www.qt.io/

    and another:

    http://teamtreehouse.com/

Is there a name for this kind of design or trend? Is it motivated by wanting to have the same website for desktop and handheld devices?

Or am I just imagining any trend I think I see?

They're not full width. They're responsive with full width backgrounds on certain sections.

    No.

    :)

Seriously though, it's a follow on from the parallax trend and it just a bit annoying at this stage. So many sites are starting to look very samey but as with all trends - it shall pass.
